About Dr. Mailutha
Dr. Mailutha, M.D., M.P.H. is a board-certified adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist with clinical expertise in child and adolescent pharmacology, and psychotherapy treatments for anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral problems, and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
Dr. Mailutha received her B.A. in Biology and a concentration in history from Columbia University. She received her M.D. from Harvard Medical School and her Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She completed her residency in psychiatry at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York. She completed a fellowship in pediatric psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center. She has also served on the voluntary faculty at Columbia University, New York Presbyterian Hospital from 2012 to 2017. She is a member of the professional national association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).

Dr. Mailutha has years of experience which inform her daily practice with adults, children and teenagers. She successfully ran a busy private practice in the Upper West Side in New York providing psychotherapy and medication management to children and adults from 2009 to 2015, and closed her practice with the birth of her second child, when she and her family moved to New Jersey.
Dr. Mailutha has held past positions in college mental health at Columbia University; as an associate professor in the child psychiatry division outpatient clinic at Columbia Medical Center; as a child psychiatrist at Morristown Medical Center Behavior Health Outpatient Services; as the Supervising Child Psychiatrist in the Collaborative Care Program at Madison Pediatrics with Atlantic Health Systems and as a treating child psychiatrist with Stepping Forward Counseling Center in Chatham, N.J.
